Portsmouth or Southsea Beach – Tuesday 1 August
Fancy some shopping therapy in the designer outlets at Gunwharf Quays, followed by a leisurely lunch overlooking the harbour? Or would you prefer to indulge in some nautical history at the nearby Historic Dockyard? If fresh air, sunbathing or even a swim is more to your liking, carry on to Southsea where you can also visit either of the two piers, the Model Village, the Blue Reef Aquarium or the D-Day Museum.
Arundel or Littlehampton – Wednesday 9 August
Combining one thousand years of history and a splendid castle with independent shops, contemporary art galleries, restaurants, and cafes, Arundel has something for everyone. Alternatively Littlehampton provides the best of seaside pleasures with two award-winning beaches, the beautiful River Arun and a large seafront green.
Heritage Bus to Bordon Country Market – Tuesday 15 August & Wednesday 16 August
Why not wind back the clock and sample the nostalgia of bygone days with a day trip in our 1950s vintage bus via beautiful Surrey and Hampshire countryside to the Country Market in Bordon? Enjoy the delights of a genuine farm shop, with home-made and local produce, a range of other shopping experiences and a bite to eat at the Carvery or Coffee Shop. You can also enjoy a glimpse of farming life via two self-guided farm trails.
Worthing – Thursday 24 August
Worthing is a happy collision of classic and contemporary, with a wide open prom and famous pier where you can view amazing artworks, promenade above the waves, try your hand at fishing, enjoy an ice-cream or sample the Art Deco Southern Pavilion. But step off the beaten track and you’ll discover another world of quirky independent art, music, performance and friendly food lovers.
Brighton Thursday 31 August
Brighton has something for everyone from the Regency splendour of the Royal Pavilion to the 21st Century wonder of the new British Airways i360. Along with sampling the historic charm of its pier complete with traditional seaside rides and attractions and the nearby Sea Life Aquarium, you will hardly have time to sample the delights of shopping in The Lanes or enjoying any of the fabulous restaurants, cosy pubs or hip bars.
